Cricket club needs help
The Lancaster Park Cricket Club, celebrating its centenary this week, will have on Saturday a re-enact-ment of the first game on the ground. But it has a problem — the umpires, Bob Condliffe and Fred Goodall, have to be suitably dressed.
They each need a black bowler hat, a black frock coat, and if possible a watchchain. The club would be glad of help, but it is unlikely that anyone will come up with another real need — a copy of the laws of cricket of 1881.
