NZPA staff correspondent Washington The New Zealand women wound up in third place in the world team squash championships in Toronto, beating Scotland 3-nil in their final game. They missed a berth in the final against Australia,

going down to England 3-nil. Australia later beat England 2-1 to win the title. New Zealand turned in some of the best squash ever played by New Zealand women, according to the team manager, Ms Susie Simcock, of Auckland. “They did New Zealand proud,” she said.
