Bodies recovered
PA Hamilton Two bodfes were recovered from the sea in the Whitianga area late yesterday morning after two Whitianga men went missing yesterday in their five-metre runabout.
Allan Newton and Ross Bayliss, both in their early 20s, were reported to have gone fishing in sea conditions described as extremely heavy.
A police spokesman said the bodies found had. not been formally identified, but the missing boat Naughty Girl had been recovered and a search called off.
A scan from a light aeroplane on Sunday failed to find any sign of the pair, who were scheduled to return about 6 p.m. An Air Force Orion was used in the search yesterday.
