Empowering Bill and the Silver Peaks County Council (Lump Sum Contributions) Empowering Bill were committed. The House then suspended standing orders to recommit the Otago Harbour Board Vesting, Reclamation, and Empowering Bill. This was done, and that bill plus the Silver Peaks County Council (Lump Sum Contributions) Empowering Bill were read a third time.
After the 7.30 p.m. resumption nine bills were passed through their committee stage and given, a third reading. One, the Industrial Law Reform Bill, was divided into two measures — the Industrial Relations Amendment Bill and' the State Services Conditions of Employment Bill. ' '
The other bills were: the Water and Soil Conservation Amendment Bill, the Education Amendment Bill, the Wine Makers Bill, the sale of Liquor Amendment Bill, the Human Rights Commission Amendment Bill, the Mining Amendment Bill, the Mana-pouri-Te Anau Development Amendment Bill, and the National Development Amendment Bill.
