'A trip for two to New,• York is the glamour prize, for the fashion ' manufacturer whose entry - gains the Supreme ' Award for New Zealand Fashion in the. Benson and Hedges/Helena Rubinstein Fashion Awards, to be held next March, in Auckland. Announcing' details, of the re-vamped awards, the coordinator. an Auckland fashion promoter, Maysie Bestall-Cohen said: “The. Supreme Award merits something special so we wanted the prize to reflect its importance and to be associated with the fashion industry. This is the first time that the awards have catered specifically for both manufacturers and independent designers. Manufacturers will be invited to submit entries in categories for sportswear; daywear/casual co-ordinated dressing; high fashion day wear; the Wool Award, presented by the New Zealand Wool Board; and after-five high fashion.
