New editor for paper
PA Blenheim The “Marlborough Express” has appointed a new editor, Mr Reginald Spowart, Motueka and Golden Bay area reporter for the “Nelson Evening Mail.” He will succeed Mr David Wilson, who for family reasons will return to England after more than a year as editor.
After working as a journalist in the North Island Mr Spowart joined R. Lucas and Sons. Ltd. about 18 years ago as chief reporter, then editor of the company’s former West Coast subsidiary publication. the “Westport News." He was transferred to Motueka six years ago. Mr Spowart will become editor of the "Express" on November 3.
