Boost for speedway
Speedway racing in Christchurch will be boosted by a $5OOO. sponsorship this season The secretary of the Christchurch 1 Speedway Association. Mr Russell Lang, said the association's stadium would now’ be known
as the Lucas Batteries speedway, Ruapuna Park, after the sponsor. The money would be used to offset the costs of running the sport at Ruapuna. due to restart on November 8. Mr Lang said.
