Life in a large English school. 6.00: UNDER THE MOUNTAIN. A sudden “shark" attack hurls the twins into a desperate struggle to save Mr Jones from the enemy and he at last explains some of the mystery. 6.30: NEWS.
5.00: SOLID GOLD. Hit music by Aretha Franklin, B. J. Thomas, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Andy Gibb and Roger Miller. 6.00: NEWS AT SIX. 6.30: ALBERT WHITLOCK: MASTER OF ILLUSION. A look at the creative wizardry of the master of matte painting in Hollywood. Whitlock, the winner of several Academy Awards for his cinematic art, is shown creating illusions in such films as "The Hindenburg” and Mel Brooks’s “History of the World — Part 1.”
7.00: CLOSE TO HOME. Mrs Featherston initiates more action on the tip matter. 7.30: REGIONAL NEWS. 8.00: MOTORSHOW. A look at new cars, popular used car buys, motoring topics, and drivers with a difference. 8.30: THE MALLENS. Now married to Harry Bensham, Anna seems to have found contentment at last as the new mistress of High Banks Hall.
7.00: ARTHUR C. CLARKE’S MYSTERIOUS WORLD. The famous science fiction writer turns his attention to the gigantic art galleries in Peru, Chile, and Britain where vast drawings were made to be seen, from the sky many centuries ago. 7.30: THE ONEDIN LINE. James carries a citrus fruit cargo from the Azores and gives the groves’ owner free passage home, but two crew members create trouble on the voyage. 8.30: ESCAPE. The story of the vanishing earl, Lord Lucan, who disappeared after the murder of his children’s nanny.
9.30: THE DICK EMERY SHOW. Comedy song and dance with the master of disguises. (Final) 10.00: A DIVORCE. Encouraged by her solicitor, Linda’s demands become increasingly unreasonable.
