New Zealand’s junior hockey players bounced back from Sunday’s 0-5 loss to India to beat Thailand, 11-0, in Hong Kong yesterday in the Australasian qualifying tournament for next, year’s Junior World Cup in Kuala Lumpur. , ' The game was played in cooler conditions than on Sunday, and New Zealand led,-5-0,; at half-time.; Goals were scored by
-Peter Daji (4), Matthew Slack (2), Jon Tanner (2), Graham Reid, Malcolm Wood and Alan Teixeira. The New Zealanders have a rest day today and will play Hong Kong tomorrow. In another Pool B match yesterday, India beat Oman, 7-1, and with Hong Kong, which had a bye yesterday, remains the only, unbeaten team in the pool.
