$6M contracts let
PA New Plymouth Contracts worth almost $6 million have already been let for the planned Motunui gas-to-petrol plant.
The ultimate decision to build the plant still depends on final contracts being signed by the Government and Mobil Oil, and planning consents being granted by the Planning Tribunal. ,
The general manager of the Synthetic Fuels Corporation. Mr James Beard, said 22 contracts worth almost $6 million had been let by the end of September. While final confirmation of contractual details was subject to the tribunal recommendations required under the National Development Act, further big contracts would be announced soon.
