Toshack wins easily at Greymouth

PA Greymouth Toshack cruised to an easy win in the Brian Nixon Memorial Handicap first leg of the double at the Greymouth Trotting Club’s meeting last night. His driver, Mike de Filippi, had the warmly supported Toshack positioned midfield for most of the journey, and the issue looked beyond doubt when he drew his charge alongside the pacemaker, Bonnie Lass, approaching the home straight. Bonnie Lass was beaten into third place by the fastfinishing Hanover Fire, which did not enjoy the'best of runs. Results.— (T.A.B.
