Jogging dangerous
NZPA London The most physically dangerous sport is jogging, according to American doctors writing in “Medical Tribune," and quoted yesterday by British newspapers. The sports injuries clinic at Lenox Hill Hospital, in New York, said that more than one-third of its patients
had been injured jogging or running, the report said. Altogether, it is estimated that 25 million American joggers will seek medical treatment this year, mostly for strained knees. One patient in eight had been injured playing tennis or other racket sports, and one in 10 playing basketball.
