Two hurt in fire
Two persons were taken to hospital yesterday morning after fire extensively damaged a house in Dunns Avenue, Pines Beach. Both were treated for minor injuries and discharged. Two engines from Kaiapoi and one from Rangiora attended the blaze, about 6 a.m. Firemen, who were at the scene for about two hours, managed to stop the blaze from spreading to two neighbouring houses. There were no suspicious circumstances.
