Zealand. . “The dialogue between New Zealand and A.S.E.A.N. has seen trade-aid projects and investments, and cultural exchanges increase with each successive year,” he said. •’ Mr Sayidiman spoke of New Zealand’s “unstinting” support of A.S.E.A.N. moves to gain a wider representation in the United Nations for . Kampuchea than that' provided by the Khmer Rouge. Mr Taiboys assumed the portfolio of Foreign Affairs in 1975, he said, the year New Zealand established dialogue relations with 'A.S.E.A.N. Mr Sayidiman said Mr Taiboys was a "a staunch and eloquent advocate" of A.S.E.A.N.’s principles and had made a very great contribution to the organisation.
