New Canadian envoy
NZPA Ottawa The Canadian External Affairs Department has named its new envoy to New Zealand. Mr C. Rousseau, aged 60, has been named High Commissioner to New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga, Western Samoa, and Tuvalu. From 1972 to
1976 he was CommissionerGeneral of the 1976 Olympic Games at Montreal and in 1977 became ambassador to Venezuela. He will take over the New Zealand posting from Ms Irene Johnson, who has been appointed to the Energy Department. . ______
