Canterbury B wins
The Canterbury B rugby team used a decisive weight advantage to win a wealth of possession and beat the Cantabrians. 43-6. at Hoon Hay Park on Saturday. Canterbury hammered home its 10-6 half-time lead with superior fitness and a strong wind at its back, allowing it to take command in the second half. The full-back. Richard Wilson, thrived in the difficult conditions, kicking two penalties and fiveconversions for a match tally of 16 points. The Canterbury No. 8, Murray Straight, and the supporting
loose men. Kerry Flood and Mark Meates. were prominent, as was the centre. Steve Hansen, who was rewarded for his hard running with two tries. The Cantabrians' hooker. Colin Stokes, was determined to keep his side in the hunt, while Stuart Lockie played a good game from the side of the scrum. Scorers: Canterbury B 43 (Steve Hansen 2. Murray Straight. Bill Anderson.
