Ali vows to ‘shock world’
NZPA-Reuter Hong Kong Muhammad Ali yesterday promised to shock the world and win the heavyweight boxing crown for a record fourth time and said he could even fight on until he was 55. The 39-year-old Ali. who has had problems getting a licence to box in the United States, hopes to make a comeback in the Bahamas on December 2. He told a press conference during a brief visit to Hong
Kong that the fight, against the Jamaica-born Canadian, Trevor Berbick, had not been finalised. “But it soon will be. " he added, and predicted a victory that would shock the world and put him in line again for another crack at World Boxing Council (W.8.C.) title-holder, Larry Holmes, who seemed to have ended Ali's career by stopping him in 11 rounds last October.
