Zonta conference in Christchurch

Zonta, the women's service group that takes its name from Sioux Indian symbols, will hold its District XVI (Australia and New Zealand) conference in Christchurch from August 27 to 30. There are 61 clubs within the district, and 250 mem-

bers will attend the conference. Miss Jeanne Edgar, director of the Risingholme Community Centre for adult education, is the district governor. Another leading figure at the conference will be Mrs Valerie Levitan, of Chicago, an executive director of the organisation.
