A new home site on a rear section at 78 Park Terrace was sold for $65,000 at auction yesterday. The auctioneer, Mr D. H. Rankin of H. G. Livingstone, Ltd, said that about 25 people attended the auction for the 969 square metre site which included a filtered swimming pool. The residential zoning permits two town houses to be built on the section. No Government valuation was available as the section was part of an existing property.

A Charteris Bay . holiday home was sold for $29,000 at auction on August 18. The auctioneer, Mr D. H. Rankin, of H. G. Livingstone, Ltd, said that the auction was attended by about 30 people. The keen bidding started at $20,000 and rose in $lOOO bids to $25,000 and then in $5OO bids until the final offer of $29,000.
