Defence is undergoing a significant restructuring to give greater financial and operational responsibilities to regions. , s . ; ; With decentralisation of responsibility went requirements of prompt and regular management reports, which managers must be able to interpret, said the Ministry of Defence in its annual report. The flow of management information would be assisted by installation of computer terminals yet to be acquired and linked to the new defence computer. Managers would have a much greater responsibility for contributing to the defence three-year forecast and annual budget.
