$344,000 paid out in Paeroa

PA Hamilton More than $344,000 had been paid out to people in Paeroa affected by the severe April floods, said the chairman of the Thames Valley flood relief trust, Mr Neil Clarke. The Government dollar for dollar subsidy had bought the final relief fund amount to $525,366, he said. About 10 per cent of the people forced out of their homes by the floods might not be able to return to their homes until Christmas, Mr Clarke said.
