‘The Good Companions’
In 1929 J. B. Priestley,, England s celebrated writer, I published his most widely-' read novel. “The Good Companions." Since then the book has been translated into two successful films and twice produced on stage. Now “The Good Companions" is presented to viewers as a series produced by Yorkshire Television to screen on Sunday evenings on One. It has been adapted for television by writer Alan Plater and produced by Leonard Lewis. ! It stars Leonard Rossiter. Irene Handl. John Stratton and Jud}' Cornwell: the nine 50-minute episodes will begin on Sunday, August 23. !
