‘O glorious summer’
NZPA London Only a century by Prince Charles against the Australians and a win at Wimbledon by Lady Diana could add to the fantasy of the last fortnight, said the London “Daily Mirror” yesterday. In its editorial, the paper wrote that the British “have lived the life that daydreams
are made of” for the last two weeks. “The weather, the wedding and the wicket have all been perfect. After several winters of discontent we have at last had the glorious summer Shakespeare promised,” the “Mirror" said. It added that England's ugly ducklings played like princes “while the colonials looked like flannelled fonl«”
