Islington dispute resolved
Meat workers at the Islington freezing works of Waitaki N.Z. Refrigerating, Ltd, have agreed to return to work from 8 a.m. today. The men had been on strike for 2 ! 'z weeks in protest against the appointment of an engine room worker as a replacement for a retired engine driver rather than a shunter, said Mr C. Knowles, a Canterbury branch organiser of the Meat Workers' Union.
