All Blacks withdraw

PA Wellington The All Blacks, Stu Wilson and Dave Loveridge, have both withdrawn from Saturday’s inter-island match in Dunedin. Both have injuries. Wilson’s place in the North Island side is taken by the 1980 All Black, Fred Woodman, and Loveridge is replaced by Andrew Donald, of Wanganui. Mark Basham, of Bay of Plenty, moves into the North

reserves, with one more still to be named.

Loveridge was knocked out in a club match for Inglewood against Clifton at Waitara on Saturday.

Loveridge suffered concussion and spent Saturday evening in hospital in New Plymouth, and, on medical advice, will not play again for a fortnight. “But I should be right for the match against the Springboks,” he said from his Tariki home yesterday.
