Belle Camille continued to please in her preparation for the Fraser Handicap at the Timaru meeting today when she worked at Wingatui on Thursday morning.
Belle Camille. Syrie Boye. Bright Flight and Special Keeper represent a powerful challenge from Wingatui stables for the second day of the Timaru meeting.
Belle Camille was three lengths clear of Parkistinian Lad and drawing away at the finish of 1200 m on the soft inside grass, the last 1000 m in Imin 7.55. The speed was on early with the 400 m in the middle part taking 25.85.
Syrie Boye cantered two rounds in the hands of his race rider. Charlie Brough. He has been kept fresh to sprint and should be hard to contain on the course where he opened his account 12 months ago. Bright Flight was working keenly outside Silver Bright at the finish of 800 m on the sand in 53.5 s the last 600 m in 39.55.
Special Keeper, a close second last week, sprinted 600 m with his stablemate
Spring Steel in 39.15. Spring Steel has come to hand quickly. Sovereign Charles appeared more like his best when he returned 53s for 800 m the last 600 m in 39.85. The Imposter shaped well when running 600 m with Ta Tay and Native Peak in 39s on the grass.
