Plus you have the advantage of Gardenway's guarantee that come Summer if our bushes do not meet your high expectations, pull them out and return them with our labels and we will replace them, cheerfully without fuss. The World, a champion rose from Kordes, West Germany. A tall vigorous variety with huge, perfectly shaped blooms of exhibition quality. The flowers are a warm blend of deep, creamy, apricot-yellow margined with strawberry cerise. Old Master - a new original. Sam McGredy, international rose breeder calls this one of his "hand-painted" roses, just like the rich colours on fine hand-painted china. The blooms are saucer shaped deep claret-red with a velvety texture. It's scented too with an unusual cinnamon fragrance. And Regensberg is not just a new rose. It's a different type, a complete break with tradition. "Regensberg" is a low growing, very bushy and spreading and therefore ideal for low beds and low borders as a ground cover. But what a ground cover! Smothered all season with myriad blooms in delicate shades of pink. Regensberg is nearly always in flower. And expect some things the same too. Yes we have Whisky, Uncle Walter, Super Star, Peace, Kings Ransom and other well known names which have stood the test of time and clime, all only $3.99. There are others which will excel in any rose garden. Friesia, a bright non-fading yellow with a spicy fragrance. National Trust is cherry red non-fading and ideal for cutting with long stemmed exhibition class blooms. Peep O'Day has soft pink blooms and repeats its flowering performance throughout the season. All these and others are only $4.50 at Gardenway's 4 branches. Madame Butterfly isn't flightly at all. This lovely Antirrhinum is one of the new breed — not at all like the old Snap Dragons. This hand pollinated strain has won awards in Britain and America for its healthy reliability and unique double azalea type flowers. Pink, red, yellow, white, salmon, long stemmed spikes for bold displays and cutting. We were most impressed with some container grown "Butterflies." Plant them now, they do well in cool weather and produce a rewarding display in September and October. All Gardenway's flower seedlings are $1.30 per punnet even choice hybrids like Madame C* Butterfly. And Canterbury Beils are not dated — just doubled! Although firm favourites with Grandma, Canterbury Bells have come a long way since her day. They certainly haven't dated. In fact, this modern mixture of blue, pink and white now has showy double flowers which turn out splendidly in Spring. Plant them in a well drained border and fork in well rotted compost liberally. Canterbury Bells grow well in partial shades, $1.30 per punnet. Gardenway have a fine selection to plant now for displays in Spring and Summer. Sweet William, Iceland Poppies, Forget-me-not, Pansy, Viola all $1.30 per punnet.
