Puppet group gets grant
The Flying Hat Company, a Christchurch puppet troupe, has been granted $6OOO from the Youth Initiatives Fund to help buy stage equipment.
The Minister of Recreation and Sport (Mr Highet) announced the grant, which will cover the cost of building a puppet booth and buying an amplifier and lighting equipment. This year the group of five puppeteers will perform for schools, community groups, and at Canterbury University.
