Drainage Board and tour

Sir,—Upon reading the article in “The Press,” June 18, regarding the attack by Drainage Board members on the Springbok tour, I was highly disgusted to think that they should even raise the matter. If Mr Dobson would stop thinking about childish pranks, i.e. the disconnecting of Lancaster Park from the drainage system, and concentrate more on the job he was elected to do, our rates might be given higher consideration than. a sporting event. I praise Mr J. de C. Hanafin for preventing this unnecessary diversion going anv further.—Yours, etc., JEAN DAVIES. June 19, 1981.
