N.Z. plane to Kampuchea

The Mount Cook lily will soon be seen flying into Pnomh Penh, the capital of Kampuchea. But instead of carrying New Zealand domestic passengers, the Hawker-Siddely 748 aircraft, (pictured taxi-ing at Christchurch Airport yesterday) complete with red crosses on both sides of the fuselage and under the wings, will be

ferrying medical supplies from Bangkok to hospitals in Kampuchea. The aircraft, on charter for six months to the International Red Cross, Will leave Christchurch tomorrow on the first leg of its threeday trip to Bangkok. During the charter, the aircraft will be flown by Mount Cook crews. ■
