PA Auckland The race relations conciliator, Mr liiwi Tauroa, returned to New Zealand last evening and implored reporters to “give me time to sit down and think.” . He left New Zealand on June 2 to see whether apartheid, was changing in South Africa. But soon after walking from the Customs area at-
Auckland Airport last evening, Mr Tauroa made it clear he still needed time to assemble his thoughts. He was “very glad” that he had gone to South Africa, because it was “the only way to learn.” TVVe have simplified the matter,” he said. “It is very complex and can’t be covered in a day. i have things to say, but I am going
to leave it until tomorrow.” Mr Tauroa said no restrictions had been placed on his “very exhausting visit.” "In no way was I stopped from going anywhere I wanted to and people leaned over backwards to help me,” he said. He declined to comment, however, when asked whether he supported the coming Springbok tour.
