Stead top performer
The Canterbury all-roun-der, David Stead, has become the top performer in the Lancashire League cricket competition this season. This -information came yesterday to the secretary of the Canterbury Cricket Association (Mr jack Power) / ■■■ S'
from Mr Derek Parker, of Rochdale, who is in business as a cricket agent, organising appointments for. players. He said that after the first week of this month, Stead had made 500 .runs at an -average of 71:4, and taken 40 wickets at 13.9 runs each.
