Chch specialist back on Medical Council
Dr W. J. Pryor, a Christchurch anaesthetist, has been appointed to the Medical Council by the GovernorGeneral (Sir David Beattie). Dr Pryor was president of the Medical Association in 1979?
He succeeds Dr N. F. Greenslade, a Christchurch urologist, who has retired from the Medical Council after 14 years. He was chairman of the council for eight years.
Dr Pryor joined the council 20 years ago and in 1965 was elected president of the Canterbury division of the Medical Association.
He became a member of the association’s executive in 1967 and served until 1975, and has since been chairman of the central ethical committee. • •» Dr Pryor was a member of the North Canterbury Hospital Board and the Christchurch Clinical School from 1975 to 1980. He is ; now deputy chairman "of the board’s medical staff and is a trustee of the National Blood Foundation. He was chairman of the Canterbury Medical Library Committee between 1976 and 1980.
