People who want the special datestamp designed to mark the opening of the new Chatham Islands Airport on June 30 will need to send their covers immediately to meet airmail schedules.
Stamped and addressed envelopes, enclosed in a wrapper marked “Airport Covers.” should be sent to the Postmaster, Waitangi, Chatham Islands. . Mail posted in a special box at the Waitangi Post Office willalso be cancelled With the special datestamp on June 30.
