PA Rotorua . Sightseers interested in a large steaming crater left by a hydro-thermal eruption-in Taupo on Saturday morning have been advised •' to keep well. away, from the area. cross some’. Very hot ground and Mu Mahon warned it would be extremely dangerous, particularly for children. A survey team, including staff from the D.S.I.R. in Rotorua,, began extensive observations of the crater yesterday. . ■ Three geologists, a surveyor, and a chemist were expected to begin looking at the debris thrown over half a square kilometre- of the surrounding farmland and conduct tests.
