Study tour for hospital executive
An Australian study award, the first of its kind, has been awarded to the North Canterbury Hospital Board's deputy chief executive. Mr Gordon Davies. The award was jointly sponsored, by the New Zealand Institute of Health Administrators and Crothall Hospital Services., It will enable Mr. Davies to study senior hospita] administration in Australia. Mr Davies, who is responsible for the day-to-day running of all hospitals under the board’s control, . intends to study in detail; personnel management within' Australian hospitals. 1 In September he- will spend three weeks' in Sydney hospitals and one week with the New South Wales Health Commmission.'
