Plotters’ plan
The head of a group of American mercenaries, which has been charged with planning to overthrow the regime in Dominica, has said that he was promised the No. 2 post in the island's Army if the coup had succeeded. Michael Perdue, aged 32, told the Federal Court that he had first wanted to overthrow the .Leftist Government of Grenada, but opted for Dominica instead. Testifying under immunity from prosecution in the trial Of three Ku Klux Klan members accused of plotting the coup, Perdue said he was also to have received $175,500 and . cutting rights for Dominican forests if the plan had succeeded.—New Orleans. {
