Freyberg home to close
PA Wellington A nine-bed home for former servicewomen, the Lady Freyberg Home in Wellington, will eventually close and be sold, the New Zealand Patriotic Fund Board and Canteen Fund Board have said in a combined report to Parliament.. Demand from former servicewomen for accommodation in recent years had diminished, the report said. The home requires increasing maintenance because of its age.
