LSD charge
A company manager, accused of importing lysergide (LSD) and cocaine into New Zealand earlier this year was remanded to July 17 for the taking of depositions when he appeared before Judge Paterson in the District Court yesterday. Terry Ivan- Ormandy (Mr G. R. Lascelles), aged 33, is alleged to have imported the two drugs at Auckland on February 8. Bail of sso,ooo'set in the High Court was continued. THEFT ALLEGED A man and a woman charged with stealing an $BOOO car were each remanded without plea to June 4.
Lorraine Suzanne Johnston,aged 29, and Desmond Wayne Fenemor, aged 20, are alleged to have stolen the car, the property of Claude Knight, between May 6 and 27. Each defendant was al lowed bail-of $l5OO. $4OO FINE A storeman convicted of stealing building materials, to a total value of $509, from his employer, was fined $4OO when he appeared for sentence. Brian Gordon Meaclem, -aged 32, had admitted stealing the property which belonged to Ashby Berghs, Ltd, on April 22.
