Chapel’s Gift goes fast
Special correspondent Palmerston North Chapel’s Gift was again in great form in his final gallop at Awapuni yesterday. He ran a dazzling time over 1000 metres to cement his favouritism for the Aramoho Handicap at Wanganui. Camille could provide the Quinella with him. judging by the way he worked, and Nukumai "was another to please. Chapel’s Gift galloped on the inside trial and stopped the watch at 1.14 for 1000 metres, the last 600 in 36.8. It was a brilliant gallop and he must be hard to catch at Wanganui..
