Mr Blazey not wanted
The Canterbury- branch of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association has called for the resignation of the country's top rugby administrator. Mr C. A. Blazey. as chairman of the N.Z.A.A.A.
At a special general meeting called last evening to discuss the implications of the proposed Springbok tour, delegates passed the following resolution: “That the Canterbury centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, while recognising the outstanding services Mr Blazey has given to the association over a period of many years, does not consider that in the present circumstances Mr Blazey should continue as chairman of the N.Z.A.A.A. while he remains chairman of the New Zealand Rugby Union.” The vote was not unani-
mous, according to Dr Rod Syme. ' He said the matter would be further discussed at a special meeting of the ■ N.Z.A.A.A. council in Wellington on June 2. i The Waikato.
