Jumbo mail issue
PA Wellington Air New Zealand’s inaugural Boeing 747 flight, timed for June 11, will carry a special philatelic mail. It will be postmarked with a special pictorial datestamp at the Auckland Chief Post Office, and will.be back-date stamped on receipt in Sydney. People wanting datestamp impressions should send stamped envelopes (either
self-addressed or to somebody else) in a wrapper marked “747 Inaugural Flight Covers” to reach the Chief Postmaster, Auckland, by June 9. The covers should bear the appropriate rate of air postage from New Zealand to the country of destination. Covers for Australian addresses, or for return to New Zealand, should bear postage of 35c. '
