Chicken cause of poisoning
A contaminated chicken was found to be the cause of 44 eases of food poisoning reported to the Health Department in Christchurch two weeks ago.
Department officials began investigating the cases last week. The chicken. was served at an “institution.” '
The Deputy Medical Officer of Health (Dr M. ABriesman) said that instances of food poisoning with chicken were “not uncommon.”
