Christchurch’s second Appaloosa stallion, Shalimar’s Pronto Lad, gets acquainted over a snack of chaff with one of his new owners, Mrs Thelma Rose, of West Melton. Five-year-old Pronto Lad was bred at the Shalimar stud in Queensland, and spent two seasons in the North Island. He will get the chance to display his award-winning training skills at the local Western Performance and Cutting Association Club.
