Military muscle

PA Wellington Army engineers will provide the 100-man Royal Guard of Honour at the formal opening of Parliament on Thursday. The Royal Guard, drawn from units based at Linton Camp, will be commanded by Major Brian Stewart,

Royal New Zealand Engineers.

Music will be provided by the New Zealand Army Band, under the baton of Major Jim Carson, M.B.E. A 21-gun salute will be fired by the Wellingtonbased 22 (D) Battery, Royal New Zealand Artillery, from the four-gun saluting battery at Point Jerningham.
