PA Auckland A police chief inspector I denied four, charges when he

appeared in the Auckland District Court yesterday.’ He is Ronald Victor Downie, aged 42, of Westmere, who denied failing to stop when ordered to do so by a traffic officer, failing to ascertain if anybody was injured after an accident, causing bodily injury to Ross Graham Endicott-Davies while carelessly using a motor vehicle, and failing to stop as the driver of a motor vehicle involved in an accident in which another person was injured. The charges relate to an incident in the Auckland City Council’s vehicle pound on March 25. Judge A. Deobhakta adjourned the case until July 20.
