Wind operation
Special Correspondent Invercargill Capapo, which rose through the grades in grand style this season, has had an operation for a wind affliction. Tne Noble Bijou gelding concerned his trainer, Kelly Thompson, late in the season when he was making a slight noise. “I think we may have got to it early enough,” Thompson remarked, and
hopefully he will come back. Caparo scored five wins on end before meeting with a checkered run to finish sixth in the 3ZB Easter Handicap and then failed in the Great Autumn Handicap on the final day of the Easter meeting. Thompson will jog Caparo for a time in a few weeks when he is over the operation and then turn him out until the spring.
