Billiards upsets
It is unusual for Canterbury’s top billiardss players, Brian Kirkness and Dave Meredith, to lose an inter-club game, but in the latest round they were both beaten. Kirkness (Riccarton) was beaten 199-154 by Bill Burney (Kaiapoi) and in another low-scoring game, Paul Golding (Post Office) beat Meredith, 238-161.
