This position will encompass functional assessment of children prior to admission and during hospitalisation, treatment using modalities of sensory motor integration, projective activities and social/ ‘ recreational activities on a group and individual basis and developing home programmes folowing discharge. The Occupational Therapist will be a member of a multidisciplinary team and will need to establish a close liaison with parents, school teachers and personnel in community recreation facilities.
