Fleetwood Mac stands
ou Special correspondent Invercargill The noted mudlark. Fleetwood Mac, which eclipsed his rivals at the Winton meeting on Monday, should easily beat a similar fie'd in the Wholesale Open Warehouse Handicap, first leg of the T.A.B. double, at the Southland Racing Club’s meeting. I Right at home on the soft i ground. Fleetwood Mac had i his rivals covered a long ; way from home at the Win- ; ton meeting and cleared out 'io win by eight lengths. Ho i has been rehandicapped ■ 2.5 kg but that is unlikely to i make much difference, if the i consummate ease of his 'Winton victorv is a reliable guide. Cara Dee and LadyLink might prove best of the remainder. Cara Dee was not entirely at home in the ground on i Monday, yfit battled away well for third. Lady Link was a creditable third in the Rivertpn Cup, a run which should serve as a more reliable guide to her prospects here than her failure against tougher company on a fast track at Riccarton. favouritism for the second leg of the T. ».B. double the Trelay Handicap, will be disputed by Oregull, Taramoa and Forest Gate.
